Renew My Faith

I am still looking for a job. I will be putting in two applications tomorrow. One place, a hotel, I have already put in several applications. Have not heard a single call back and I have no clue why I let my mother talk me into putting a stupid application in a place that will not hire me. I am also being forced to put a job application at a nurse homing. They are not even hiring so to me this is just a huge waste of my time I can spend actually doing something useful, like watching grass grow.

I never really had a job. Now days you need work experience to get a job and to get a job you need work experience. Its a huge waste of time. With the economy how it is. You have many over qualified people applying for jobs they would never look at before. Most summer time temp jobs went to teenagers. Life Guards at pools, cutting grass and the typical burger joint. Now days people who are pulling 30 are applying for these jobs. Not just spending money but to feed their family. I am not in a bind where I need money but I do need a job for not just the experience, pushing my social construct further. One day I will have to be out on my own and I will not know what to do.

I hope I get a job but I have been trying for years. Even with me fighting my social anxiety and my fear of doing new things. Just so hard sometimes.

Yesterday my brothers wife was ran off the road by some blue truck. The drive of the truck ran off without stopping. My brothers wife is ok with a few bumps and bruises. Her black jeep though, its front end is damaged. Some if it will need to be replaced to be drivable. It was a nice jeep to and my brother really does not have the money to fix it. Will take some time for them to get the money together. Even on top of this, the wreckers charged my brother 200 dollars to take the jeep less then 3 miles to my house where he is storing it until it is fixed. Sad uh?

Now good news then. Today I received an email that I had won a raffle. This is part of the online surveys I do for extra cash. I won a 50 dollar Amazon Gift Card. I already spent it. I bought Outlaw Star complete, Titan A.E. and Blue Submarine #6. It was a total of around 65 dollars so I did have to spend 15 dollars of my own money but still not bad. I also got the free shipping deal Amazon offers so I did not have to spend money on the shipping. It will take longer to get here but I am in no hurry. I have already seen those three anime. I own the VHS version of Titan A.E.

I also did some work for 12Comics.com I do some stuff for them from time to time. Upload images, take comics and upload to scribd and other website duties. I get some cash and that helps me out a lot because I am still looking for a full time job.

A friend I play Guild Wars with told me she is going to go to Game Stop and pick me up a copy for my Trial account I started. I told her she did not have to but she insisted because of all the help I give her. ^^

A lot to type and was all over the place but just typing out my daily life.

A computer tech support shop opened up some months ago down town. I have been looking for a job for some time now. Even in this dwindling economy. My mother went up there and asked without my knowledge if they had a job opening. Sadly they don’t but they did tell her for me to make out a resume. I did even though it is extremely short. I don’t think browsing news sites like reddit/digg or looking at lolcat pics as a job. For a lot of people would be millionaires by now. HarHar. That happened a few days ago but on to this morning.

I spent most of my morning of course checking email, looking on reddit, digg and other news sources. Checked my game buddies and then decided to read part of my God Delusion by Richard Dawkins a bit before my mother got a call about her medicine, apparently it was an interview to see how her medicine was treating her.

I started making myself breakfast while she was talking. Eggs in a basket. Very yummy, especially with jam. I learned about these yummy things by watching the movie V for Vendetta. Which I recommend you watch if you get the time.

It looks like I am rambling a bit here but I picked up a hard cover copy of Confessor by Terry Goodking for $8.00 on amazon. This is the last installment of the Sword of Truth series. A series I do recommend to my friends to pick up and read. I have yet begin reading this because I am focusing on the God Delusion. I still have yet to finish The Art of War and other books but I will get to them as soon as I can.
